Guokuai is a classic street food item in Xiantao, my husband’s hometown. Every time I visit, I make sure to get one of these…or two, or even more. It is basically a rolled bun with minced meat and scallion fillings, but damn the aroma of the flavoured oil used to cook the rolls is so addictive! Looks ordinary but definitely a mouthful of heaven!
