The name of this take-out dish means “numbing-spiciness out of a pot” and that’s exactly what it was – a bunch of random meats and vegetables thrown together in a spicy soup base. Let’s see, we have potato, wood-ear fungus, lotus root, shrimp, fish, pork, cauliflower, kelp…among others. This was a favourite of my friend when I was in Glasgow and we’d usually order this for take-out from a place next to my place. To be honest, I’ve become lesser of a fan of spicy foods, but once in a while I wouldn’t mind it 😉
