On our way to a summer cottage trip, my family stopped by Kingston for lunch at a small local bar & grill restaurant. I got the classic fish and chips (with coleslaw) because it’s always been one of my favourite comfort foods and it was super satisfying. Gotta love that tartar sauce!

Even on their own, Fish & Chips are a real tasty meal. Try them with mushy peas – even better.
My late Aunt who hailed from West Yorkshire, England owned a big fish and chip shop there. As children going from Ireland to visit our cousins in West Yorkshire, part of the thrill of the holidays was fish and chips and mushy peas with loads of cracklin.
I visit Boston, USA. Find it hard to get good old fashioned fish & chips there.
Will definitely give mushy peas a try!
