Item: Braised tofu with mixed vegetables, 紅燒豆腐蔬菜

When dining at a vegetarian restaurant with my vegetarian friend (actually vegan, I think), I prefer to stay away from “imitation” meat. It doesn’t taste all that good, and I feel like it defeats the purpose of being “vegetarian” (and I’m not one and probably never will be one). That was why in Hong Kong, when dining at Loving Hut with my good friend, I went with good ol’ tofu and vegetables. You could never go wrong with braised tofu!
